Geagte Ouers

Dear Parents

It is with great sorrow that we announce that our Phys Ed Teacher and Hockey Coach, Mrs Surita Kotze and the twins Jana and Le Roux – Grade 7, lost their spouse and father last night.  Johann lost his battle to cancer after a very short period.  Our condolences go out to this beloved staff member and her lovely two Evers.  Our community will grieve with them in this time and we will carry them in our prayers.

KURRIKULUMNUUS – COVID19 – CURRICULUM NEWS

Dear Parents/Geagte Ouers
(Please study the letters included, very carefully)

We realize that anxiety and fear is experienced by most of us and the uncertainty of what lies ahead is the most disconcerning. It is amidst all this uncertainty that we want to give some certainty and calm regarding the academic realities to the learners (and parents) of Eversdal Primary School.

Our school, like many others, are very fortunate that we can continue with academics, but we have to understand that we are a collective as far as it concerns the EDUCATION SYSTEM OF SOUTH AFRICA and we can expect that changes will have to be made to the curriculum, if time (in the general South African school timetable) cannot be found to catch up on lost time.  BUT – we are going ahead with our programme of teaching as set out in the documentation sent to you

The following correspondence is relevant:

STATEMENT BY BRIAN SCHREUDER – HEAD OF WESTERN CAPE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT – NATIONAL LOCKDOWN

CURR PLAN – FOUNDATION PHASE
KURR PLAN – GRONDSLAGFASE
CURR PLAN – INTERSEN
KURR PLAN – INTERSEN
