NETBALL
Motivation is the foundation for all sports. Every learner’s desire, determination, confidence, intensity, focus, and emotions are contributing to maximize your child’s ability and to achieve their goals.
General information
- The netball season starts at the end of the first term and ends in September, during the third term.
- All players to attend practice sessions in their Evergym attire.
- If a player participates in two winter sports, she must attend one practice session during the week to qualify for team selection. Coaches must be informed if a player cannot attend a practice session.
- Please consult the extra-mural programme (available on the website), for practice times.
Team selection
- u/7 – u/9 A and B teams are merit-based teams, with the rest of the sides rotating on a weekly basis to provide equal opportunity to all players.
- u/10 – u/13 Teams are selected on merit.
Match information
Team letters are sent by the sport office via an email link during the week. Please respond promptly to inform the office of the availability of the player.

- League matches are during the week and sport days are on weekends.
- We take part in various tournaments and aim to provide matches for all our teams.
- Team letters are sent by the coaches via an email link during the week. Please respond promptly to inform the coach of the availability of the player.
Sickness and injury policy
- If a player misses a match due to sickness and prove their fitness during the week, that player may return to the same team.
- If a player misses a match due to injury, the player will return to a lower rank team unless the player can prove their recovery is successful. This player must prove himself during a training session and will then be assessed to return to his original team.
