Dit is verpligtend vir Gr. 1 2026 ouer(s) om by drie skole aansoek te doen en om hul voorkeurorde op die stelsel aan te dui.
It is mandatory for Gr 1 2026 parent(s) to apply at three schools and in addition to indicate their order of preference on the system.

GR 1 2026
FASE 1 – OUERAANSOEK / PHASE 1 – PARENT APPLICATION
11 Maart 2025 11 March 2025 | Gr. 1 skooltoelatings oop (alle gewone openbare skole). Gr 1 school admissions open (all ordinary public schools). |
| 15 April 2025 | Gr. 1 skooltoelatings sluit (alle gewone openbare skole). Gr 1 school admissions close (all ordinary public schools). |
11 Maart 2025 – 15 April 2025 11 March 2025 – 15 April 2025 | Ouer(s) moet die vereiste ondersteunende dokumente soos versoek deur die WKOD op die sisteem laai as deel van die WKOD aanlyn aansoek. Lees asseblief die bepalings en voorwaardes op die WKOD webwerf. Op hierdie stadium benodig Laerskool Eversdal geen uitgedrukte dokumente nie. Parent(s) must upload copies of supporting documents required by the WCED onto the system as part of the WCED online application. Please read the terms and conditions on the WCED website. At this stage Eversdal Primary School does not require any hard copy documents. |

30 Mei 2025 – 10 Junie 2025
| Ouer(s) word per e-pos/SMS van die uitslag ingelig deur die WKOD. Parent(s) are informed of the outcome per email/SMS by the WCED. |
30 Mei 2025 – 17 Junie 2025 30 May 2025 – 17 June 2025 | Ouer(s) bevestig aanvaarding van Gr. 1 plasings op die WKOD- webwerf. Slegs ouer(s) wat die aanvaarding bevestig, sal versoek word om die gesertifiseerde afskrifte en addisionele dokumente in te handig. Hierdie dokumente moet die skool binne sewe dae bereik nadat die ouer(s) die plek by Laerskool Eversdal bevestig het. Die aansoek is ONVOLLEDIG totdat alle ondersteunende dokumente ingehandig is. Indien ouers nie teen 17 Junie 2025 aanvaarding bevestig nie, mag skole plekke aan leerders op die heroorweeglys of aan ongeplaaste leerders aanbied. Parent(s) confirm acceptance of Gr 1 placements on the WCED website. Only parent(s) who confirm their acceptance will be requested to hand in the certified copies and additional documents. These documents must be submitted to the school within seven days after the parent confirmed the placement at Eversdal Primary School. Your application is INCOMPLETE until all the relevant supporting documents have been submitted. If parents do not confirm acceptance by 17 June 2025, schools may offer spaces to learners on the reconsider list or to unplaced learners. |

FASE 2 – SKOOLPLASINGS/PHASE 2 – SCHOOL PLACEMENT

17 Junie 2025 tot wanneer plasings afgehandel is 17 June 2025 until placement is concluded | Ouers word van beskikbare plekke in kennis gestel, en moet dit binne drie dae aanvaar en bevestig. Parents are informed of available spaces. Parents must accept and confirm placement within three days. |

FASE 3 – DISTRIKPLASING/PHASE 3 – DISTRICT PLACEMENT
1 Augustus 2025 tot en met afhandeling van toelatings
| Die WKOD neem ‘n besluit en plaas ongeplaasde leerders in oorleg met die skole. WCED resolves and places unplaced learners in consultation with schools. |
GR. 2–7 2026 Toelatingsproses / Enrollment Process
Ouer(s) kan nie self aansoek doen op die WKOD-webwerf nie, slegs skole en distrikkantore kan Gr. 2 – 7 2026 aansoeke laai. Ouer(s) moet ‘n gedrukte afskrif van ‘n oorpasingsaansoekvorm invul en die voltooide vorm met addisionele dokumente na die skool van hul keuse of naaste distrikskantoor stuur. Hierdie vorm sal eers nader aan die aansoekdatum beskikbaar wees.
Skole kan slegs die aansoek laai in geval waar ‘n ouer by ‘n spesifieke skool aansoek doen, die distrikkantore kan aansoek by verskeie skole laai.
Parents are unable to capture an application on the WCED website, only schools and district offices are able to load Gr 2 – 7 2026 applications. Parent(s) will have to complete a hard copy transfer request form (application) and submit the completed form with supporting documents to the school of their choice or nearest district office. This form will only be available closer to the application date.
Schools will only be able to capture application where a parent wishes to apply to a specific school, the district offices can capture applications to several schools.
